If your sweet tooth is craving something delicious there are more than enough spots to choose from in New Hampshire. Whether it's a family bakery that's been around for as long as anyone can remember or an upscale spot making specialty treats, there's something for every taste and budget. And while we know there's always something nearby, it's this rest stop in Hooksett that we visit when we really want to satisfy a craving.
The best part of any road trip is pulling over at the side of the road to load up on snacks and goodies to take along with you. One of our favorite spots to do it is at The Common Man Roadside North which you can find at the the Hooksett Welcome Centers.
After you've filled your gas tank, be sure to head inside to fill your belly. There are lots of different places to eat, including an old-fashioned diner, but our favorite thing is heading directly to the baked good for a treat and some coffee.
For a rest stop, you'll be surprised at just how many sweet options there are. This is a bakery that's as good as any you'll find throughout the state.
And with things like these cinnamon swirl buns we'd argue that this spot is even better than many others.
Everything here is baked fresh each day and there are lots of unique choices that change. We love the idea of these salted caramel squares.
Anything you choose can be wrapped up to take back to the car or you can choose to take a break from the road and enjoy it inside.
One of the most notable features of this stop is the dedicated area for their famous apple cider donuts. Make sure to visit this little stand to load up for the rest of the trip.
They're some of the best around!
