There are two things we love about weekends in New Hampshire. One is getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors. The other is taking the time to explore restaurants and cafes - even if those spots are places that have been around for ages. This little spot offers a little bit of both of those things. Located alongside a waterfall and with plenty of history, this is a must-visit in New Hampshire.
The Waterfall Cafe is located right on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. It's part of the 5 inns that make up this sprawling area.
The 54-room Inn that makes up Mill Falls is lovely - but we especially love the access to the sweet little cafe.
It's airy and light with plenty of seats for hungry visitors.
And it's got a quaint New England flair that's only found in places like New Hampshire.
Make sure you get the banana walnut pancakes, but our favorite part is the view.
The inn and the Waterfall Cafe offer great view of the lake, but we love the 40-foot waterfall running just outside the windows.
Beautiful in any season, it's one of the best parts of this complex of inns.
So, the next time you're in the area stop in for a hearty breakfast and be sure to enjoy the sound of one of New Hampshire's most hidden waterfalls.
The Waterfall Cafe is located at 312 Daniel Webster Hwy. in the Mill Falls Marketplace, Meredith, New Hampshire. They're open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can learn more about them on their website or visit them on Facebook.
If you're hungry for more New Hampshire waterfalls, you'll want to check out this road trip. It's the perfect way to see some of the best the Granite State has to offer!
