It’s easy to like the concept of hiking — fresh air, great exercise, and stunning views sounds pretty fantastic. However, many of us don’t have time to dedicate an entire day to the adventure, or it’s just not feasible (or fun) to imagine a multiple mile uphill climb.

Luckily, there are plenty of low-key hikes here in New Hampshire, some of which lead to some absolutely breathtaking views. The Lockes Hill Trail is one of them.

This place was originally known as the Tree Farm and was part of the estate of Benjamin Kimball, a wealthy railroad magnate in the late 1800s.
The entire loop is only 1.8 miles long, and the elevation gain is a mere 418 feet.
