It's not hard to find a place to eat in New Hampshire. Depending on where you are, there are lots of different options. Near the beach you might find the best seafood, while up in the mountains you might dig into a cozy steak meal. Another thing we love about the Granite State is that you don't need to be in one of the larger towns or cities to enjoy the best food the state has to offer. In fact, this little spot is beloved amongst local. But, if you drove by without paying attention you might not even notice it!
Hawg Trawf is one of the funniest sounding restaurant names we've ever heard. But, it's one of the most locally beloved places you can possibly eat.
Located in Errol, just over the border from Maine, this little spot serves up some of the best BBQ in the state.
We love how cozy and homey the dining room is. And, the bar really does feel like someone's own home.
When you're here you'll be treated like family, which is why so many people come back every chance they get.
While we like the vibe, we especially love the food here.
It's filling, meaty and hearty.
And the owners have created their very own rubs and spices, making each dish uniquely their own. Plus the sweet potato fries are a custom recipe that you'll want to try over and over again.
You might want to bring family, you might want to bring friends, but definitely bring your appetite!
The Hawg Trawf is located at 30-40 East Side Rd., Errol, Maine. They're open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. They're open Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. You can give them a call directly any time!
