Located just half an hour away from the Las Vegas Strip, the tour takes you far away from all the bright lights and into the beautifully remote area of Goodsprings. The tour company is happy to pick you up if you're staying at a hotel or you can drive yourself.
You'll stop first at the historic Pioneer Saloon where you will get a tour of the property before sitting down to dinner. Dinner is included with the price of the tour and you can order pretty much anything off the menu (there is a slight upcharge for certain items).
After dinner, you'll be ushered into the general store and prepped for the stargazing tour. You'll even get to wear these nifty goggles which are used for adapting your eyes to darkness prior to star observation.
The official tour will begin as the sun begins to set. Outside you'll be greeted by dozens of binoculars and telescopes with every type of magnification you could possibly dream of.
Through one telescope you'll be able to see Saturn's rings. Through another you'll be able to see actual seas on the moon's surface. During the tour there will be a guide there to inform you of all the different sights and what you should focus your attention on.
