Things To Do In Nevada

  1. What are some fun things to do in Nevada?

There are so many more things to do in Nevada than just the glamour and glitz of the Las Vegas Strip. Other ultra-fun things to do in Nevada include gems like:

  • The Fly Geyser – A bizarre natural wonder that feels positively otherworldly. Yes, it’s actually a geyser!
  • Check out Area 51 – Okay, you can’t actually check out Area 51, but you can check out the perimeter fence, which is still oddly, weirdly fun.
  • Visit the oldest known petroglyphs in North America – Nevada is home to a historical wonder that we think you’ll love learning about.

  1. Where are some of the most scenic places in Nevada?

Nevada is a beautiful state and we’re certain that it doesn’t get the love it deserves from folks. There are lots of natural wonders and scenic places in Nevada; some of our all-time favorite beautiful places in NV are:

  • Great Basin National Park – It’s a national park for a reason, and part of that reason is its exquisite natural beauty (and for some reason, it’s one of the least-visited national parks).
  • The Ruby Mountains – A hiker's paradise, hands down, and easily one of the most photogenic places in the western United States.
  • Lake Tahoe – Come on, if you’ve never been to Tahoe, you have no idea what you’re missing (and it’s amazing).

  1. Which small towns in Nevada should be on everyone’s bucket list?

Nevada is home to hundreds of small towns (and even more ghost towns), and a lot of those small towns are definitely worth a visit! Some of our favorite bucket-list small towns in Nevada are towns including:

  • Genoa – You'll want to stay in this town while you’re checking out Lake Tahoe. It’s adorable and has all the small-town charm you could ever hope for.
  • Ely – A literal old western town and one of the oldest established communities in the state.
  • Tonopah – This historic old town is in between Vegas and Reno, and it’s a fun destination for a day trip.
