Hiking across the bridge is a whole new way to experience the famous and awe-inspiring Hoover Dam. You can do so when you hop on the Hoover Dam Bridge Bypass Trail. This 1.3-mile trail shows off one of the country's most stunning structures and the views are bound to get your heart pumping!
The bridge isn't just one of the most famous in the state, but in the country. Considered the first concrete steel composite arch bridge in the United States and boasting the longest concrete arch in the Western Hemisphere, it doesn't take an architect to recognize how impressive it is.
The trail across this world-famous bridge is accessible from the start of the Nevada side of the bridge. The start of the trail contains a free parking lot and portable toilets. Although short, the hike is known to be windy—so come prepared!
As you set off on the trail, you'll head across the bridge towards the Arizona side and enjoy fantastic views of the dam. If you look down, you'll get a jaw-dropping view of the Colorado River 840-feet below. It's certainly a viewpoint you'll remember.
