Beachfront restaurants in Nevada—sounds like a bit of a head scratcher. Our landlocked state isn’t exactly swimming in oceanfront property (“yet,” according to California earthquake predictors).
Fortunately for beach lovers, Nevada is home to some refreshing lakes and rivers (and a mega resort) with beautiful, sandy beaches. That means we’re also home to some out-of-this-world beachfront restaurants. These dining establishments on the beach range from breezy snack shacks to upscale waterfront dining.
The beachfront restaurants on this list don’t just offer views of the water; they’re located mere steps away from it. Eat at any of these spots and your toes will land in the sand faster than you can say “hold the mayo.”
A hot spot for summer food concessions, this popular burger joint started at Kings Beach on the California side of Lake Tahoe. It has since expanded to Nevada’s own Sand Harbor along Route 28.
A casual grill with a beachfront deck, Sand Harbor Bar and Grill is located three miles south of Incline Village on Route 28. Vegetarians and carnivores alike will find something on the menu with options ranging from a veggie hummus wrap to burgers. There’s also an ample cocktail menu.

Located on a private river beach (ooh la la), Laughlin's Aha Cantina and Tiki Bar offers everything from light bites to full meals. Dessert and drinks are also a favorite at this welcome beachfront addition to Avi Resort.

Some beachfront grub is greasy or grab-and-go, but Lone Eagle Grille and Bar is a luxury beachfront dining experience. With a Tahoe lodge-inspired look, the restaurant claims its own private beach, views of the lake from oversized panoramic windows and a lakefront fire pit. The chef offers a seasonal menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients. Sommeliers and mixologists round out the experience.
6. Lakeside Beach Bar and Grill – Incline Village (Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe)
Barbecue on the beach … has quite a ring to it. At the whimsical Lakeside Beach Bar and Grill, you can pop in for casual fare anytime during your beach-time fun in the sun.
Who wouldn’t jump at a chance to relax on the beach while a server hand-delivers your food? That’s what you get at Beach Grill. Choose from items like fries, ahi tuna, salads, burgers, tacos and sandwiches. For libations, hit up the nearby Rum Bar on the beach.
8. Beach Bar & Grill – Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay Resort)
It’s not exactly the finest dining experience at Mandalay Bay, but you can eat in your bathing suit and walk right out onto the sand of Mandalay Beach. The Bar and grill serves up a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts as well as beverages---alcoholic and otherwise.
See, you don’t have to leave Nevada to eat at beachfront restaurants, but you may just feel like you’ve landed on a tropical island.
