The lake and park were named after Ed Zorinsky, who was a U.S. Senator representing Nebraska from 1976 to 1987.
The lake is full of walleye and bass. The lake is open to non-motorized boats, and is a peaceful place to canoe or kayak.
Much of the trail is shaded, which is perfect for summer hiking.
While it can be quite busy on weekends, during the weekday this trail is pretty quiet.
It's paved, level and mostly shady (especially on the west side). You can even bring your pup on this hike - just clean up after him.
