Got a sweet tooth? You definitely will after reading about Grand Patisserie. Located in Omaha, it stakes a pretty good claim for “the best bakery in Nebraska” title. You’ll want to get there early for the widest selection. They’ve got a variety of sweet treats, with a focus on French pastries. Everything in the case is almost too beautiful to eat, but once you’ve taken a bite, you won’t be able to resist scarfing it all down.
From the outside, you may not be expecting much. The nondescript brick building is right by a laundromat and doesn't look like anything special.
The macarons come in a rainbow of colors and flavors. These crave-worthy French confections are quick eats that melt in your mouth... so go ahead and order a few!
All their cakes are incredible, so keep Grand Patisserie in mind for your next special occasion. We wouldn't blame you if you ordered one just because, though.
It's tough to find good Mille-feuilles in Nebraska -- or anywhere outside of France, for that matter! They're not a super-common pastry and don't show up regularly in bakeries. They're here, though, and they are delicious.
You may not expect to find delicious, authentic European pastries in Nebraska, but stop by Grand Patisserie and you can fill up on them! For more information about Grand Patisserie, check out their Facebook. Fair warning: the photos will make you hungry.
