There are lots of swimming holes in Vermont, but this one is extra special. Situated just off Route 100 across from the Lareau Farm Inn, this gorgeous swimming hole has the makings of your new favorite summer hangout.

First of all, we need to talk about this stunning water. The gentle current of the river swimming spot ruffles water that is an almost otherworldly emerald green. This alone makes this one of the most epic Vermont swimming holes, but there's more!

A shallow sandy bank makes for easy access to the water, perfect for kids or waders. But right across the river are some fearsome boulders that make for awesome jumping platforms. This is one of those Vermont swimming holes that has something for everyone.

At its deepest, the water here is about 12 feet deep. We don’t recommend diving, but there’s plenty of underwater space for swimming and snorkeling.

Back on dry land, you can spread your beach blanket on the sandy shore or spread out a picnic lunch on the grass. There are also restroom facilities for cleaning up and drying off. You can see why people consider this one of the best swimming holes in Vermont.

Visiting this awesome park is free, and there’s parking available. Biking in is also a great idea!
