The Beehive State has thousands of hiking trails, but some are just more special than others. Here's a hike that's fun for the whole family. You'll enjoy beautiful views of Logan Canyon all the way to the top - and then, you'll have fun exploring the "wind cave." Check this out!
The Wind Cave Trailhead is about six miles up Logan Canyon. Park in the parking lot - the trailhead starts there.
The trail is 3.5 miles out and back. Make sure to bring plenty of water - much of the trail is exposed to full sun and you'll want to stay hydrated.
The trail is a steady climb. You'll gain 1,030 feet in elevation.
You'll be motivated when you see the wind cave on the mountain, perched high above you.
Along the way, you'll enjoy some gorgeous views of the canyon.
You'll see wildflowers along the trail...
...as well as musk thistle, which is a weed, but is still pretty.
While some parts of the single-track trail are shaded...
...other parts are much hotter and drier.
The wind cave is actually not a cave - it's a triple arch.
The arches were formed by water erosion over long periods of time.
This is a great place for a picnic lunch or a snack. Make sure to pick up all your trash and take it back down the mountain with you.
The views from the wind cave are just stunning. Take your time and bask in this gorgeous scenery before heading back down the trail.
