Have A Wintry Blast On The Giant 4,379-Foot Ice Slide At The Utah Olympic Park

Utah Olympic Park offers a thrilling bobsled ride on one of the few public tracks in the country.

Utah is the best state in the nation when it comes to winter adventures. In fact, we have one of just two bobsled tracks in the entire country that are open to the public. If you're looking for a wild ride this winter, hop on this 4,379-foot ice slide at the Utah Olympic Park.

The Utah Olympic Park was built to host the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and it still serves as a training ground for Olympic athletes, year-round.

You don't have to be an Olympic athlete to have fun at this park. You can visit the museum, ride the extreme zipline, challenge yourself on the Discovery, Canyon, or Summit courses...or hop on a bobsled for the most thrilling ride of your life.

That's right - you can take a ride down the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Sliding Track. It's one of just four such tracks in the country, and one of just two that are open to the public.

You'll start your bobsled experience with an orientation and safety equipment.

Riders must be at least sixteen years old and weigh at least 100 pounds. If you're pregnant, have a heart condition or neck, back, or kidney problems, you shouldn't ride the bobsled.

Once you're ready to go, you'll hop aboard with a professional pilot for the ride of your life.

During your ride, you'll take 15 turns, drop 103.5 feet, and experience forces 4-5 times that of gravity.

The entire ride takes less than a minute, but it's likely to be one of the most memorable minutes of your life!

The bobsled experience isn't cheap - you'll pay $195 per person to ride. Consider it a bucket list item. While it's obviously not the kind of thing most people will do several times every winter, it's worth saving up for this adventure.

The bobsled is open to the public most of the year. For the winter bobsled experience, book your ride between December 13 and April 15.
