Everyone In Utah Must Visit This Epic Farmers Market At Least Once
It's almost time for one of the very best parts of a Utah summer - the Downtown Farmers Market. 2017 marks the 26th year of this Salt Lake City tradition, and you shouldn't miss it!
The Downtown SLC Farmers Market it held at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City every Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Opening day is June 10th.
The Downtown Alliance created the market back in 1992, and today it includes over 100 farms (all located within 250 miles of Salt lake City).
Of course, you can expect to find fresh, delicious local produce.
But the Downtown Farmers Market has even more to offer. The motto is "Make it, Bake it, Grow it." Some vendors offer fresh-baked bread...
...Others offer homemade items like candles and jewelry.
You'll can even pick up some little plants for your own garden.
The market stays open, rain or shine, so don't let a little weather stop you from enjoying a few hours here.
Sample some of the goodies.
When you're ready for lunch, the food vendors are ready for you - with plenty of fresh, delicious prepared food.
Cool off with a cold beer in the beer garden.
Every year, the market gains a little more popularity. It's like a summertime party every Saturday.
The season always gets started with a Kick-Off Party. This year's party is June 1st from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Squatter's Pub (147 W. Broadway).
The event includes plenty of food, beer, music and a silent auction. Get your tickets here.
