The World’s Largest Spring-Fed Pool In Texas Just Re-Opened And You Need To Visit For Yourself

Searching for the perfect spring break destination? Look no further - the pool at Balmorhea State Park has officially re-opened! This 3.5-million gallon, crystal-clear oasis is the desert's best-kept secret.

Built in 1930 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the pool at Balmorhea State Park holds a whopping 3.5 million gallons of water. This jaw-dropping statistic makes it the world’s largest spring-fed pool.

To the dismay of Texans everywhere, the pool was forced to shut down last May after a partial collapse during routine cleaning procedures. It remained closed all summer long, the carefree laughter of children from years past becoming a distant memory.

March 1 was the grand reopening, and families from every corner of the state are flocking to Toyahvale for spring break. Temperatures will only get warmer from here, so don’t fret if you can’t make it this month!
