The Pacific Crest Trail starts in the little town of Campo, on the U.S./Mexico border.

Over the years, thousands of hikers have completed the PCT as a thru-hike, starting in Southern California, and making their way through California, Oregon, and Washington to Canada.

It takes most thru-hikers around five months to complete the entire trail.

From the Siskiyou Summit in Southern Oregon, past Crater Lake...

...and through the Sky Lakes, Diamond Peak, Three Sisters, and Mount Jefferson Wilderness Areas...

...then down into the Columbia River valley to the Bridge of the Gods, the trail traverses 460 miles across the Beaver State.

Once hikers reach the Bridge of the Gods, they cross over into Washington for the final stretch.

It's a huge accomplishment to complete the PCT in one, long thru-hike! Most people will never have the opportunity to do so.

Luckily, you can check out this three-minute tour of the entire trail, posted on YouTube.com by Halfway Anywhere:
