What do we do in Oklahoma when the summer heat hits our state? We find any body of water we can and swim! And there's no better place to get wet than in Blue Hole in Salina. This secluded lagoon is ice-cold and known for its clear water. Check out this beautiful hidden gem in northeastern Oklahoma that will be your new favorite summer swimming spot.
Blue Hole Park is a big attraction in summer due to its ice-cold, clear water. To find this refreshing place, head seven miles east of Salina and look for the signs on the right side of the road (158 N4470, Salina, OK).
The park is privately owned on 17 acres and features a refreshing spring fed swimming hole.
Visitors love the crystal, blue water that ranges in temperature from about 40-50 degrees. That might sound cold, but in the middle of summer, it feels incredible!
Bring your lounge chairs, towels, and canopies and enjoy the whole day at the park. The price of admission is only $10 per car load.
The swimming hole features shallow areas for young swimmers and can reach up to 17 feet deep for those looking to snorkel or float.
The creek is surrounded by large trees that provide a great amount of shade. Plus, there's a little waterfall with sounds of rushing water.
Blue Hole is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and is a very affordable place to take the family. Weekends can get crowded, so we recommend visiting during the week.
