You’ll Never Forget A Trip To This Charming Peach Barn And Orchard In Oklahoma
Peach season in Oklahoma is just around the corner, and there's no better place to get delicious peaches than in Porter - "The Peach Capital of Oklahoma." Porter is home to The Peach Barn and Livesay Orchards, where you can pick your own peaches right from the tree, eat scrumptious peach ice-cream, buy fresh peach jam and more. Take a trip to Porter and enjoy this charming peach barn and orchard.
The Peach Barn is located on corner of Highway 69 & 51b in
Porter, OK. Just look for the red barn and the smell of fresh peaches.
The enclosed barn is filled with fresh, homegrown produce. The produce rotates based on what is in season, so you know you're buying the freshest produce around.
And of course it's filled with homegrown peaches too...but that's not all! You'll find peach fried pies, Porter peach sundaes, peach ice cream, peach muffins, peach salsa, peach bbq sauce, peach butter and more.
It doesn't get any better than this peach ice cream. The barn's bakery offers delicious treats that you can enjoy there, or take home with you.
You can also buy homegrown apples. From Granny Smith to Fuji to Red Delicious apples, they are all fresh and ready to go.
If you travel just 11 miles down the road in Porter, you can visit Livesay Orchards, where all this fruit and produce is grown.
Here they have a have a "pick your own" peaches beginning in late June through Mid-August and a "pick your own" apples in late August through early October.
There's also an open-air market where you can purchase an assortment of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables all season long.
Join the town of Porter on Main Street for their biggest event of the year at the Porter Peach Festival that runs from July 13-15, 2017. It's a great family activity filled with peaches, activities, food, live music and crafts.
