If you want a trail in Oklahoma with absolutely stunning views, look no further. The Lake Trail at Osage Hills State Park will take you right by the stunning Lookout Lake. The hike has very little elevation gain, so it's a great option for hiking with kids or novice hikers. The views are so beautiful that even more experienced hikers will have a great time.
Osage Hills is one of the prettiest state parks in Oklahoma. It's got over 1,000 acres of untouched land and offers plenty of recreational opportunities. There are quite a few trails here, and one of the best is the Lake Trail.
This two-mile trail will take you past some of the historic Civilian Conservation Corps. buildings constructed in the 1930s and 1940s.
The CCC was a major part of the New Deal program that got the country out of the Great Depression. Through the CCC, young men worked to improve parks and roads.
You'll see the remnants of the amphitheater that was constructed at the park by the CCC.
