Mill Creek is a stream that flows 28.4 miles southwest through Ohio. It passes through the heart of Cincinnati and eventually joins the Ohio River just west of the city’s downtown area.
Though Mill Creek is not suitable for swimming, it’s a lovely place to spend an afternoon walking or cycling.
The Mill Creek Greenway provides residents with a convenient transit option, as well as a fun way to stay active in the city. The southern section is about two miles long, while the northeastern section offers another mile of paved trail.
The water is quite lovely to watch as it lazily flows on its way through the city. It’s a little scrap of nature in the heart of a bustling metropolis.
If you’re patient and keep your eyes peeled, you can even spot wildlife hanging around the creek’s banks and flitting through the water.
