Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland, Ohio, offers a hands-on agricultural experience with farm animals, seasonal activities, and educational exhibits for all ages.

Lake Metroparks Farmpark is located at 8800 Euclid Chardon Road, Kirtland.

Opened in 1990, this 235-acre park is actually a working farm.

The goal of the farm is to put visitors in touch with the region's agricultural roots.

You will learn about farming past and present, and how it may progress in the future.

At the park, you will come face to face with horses, dairy cows, and historic pieces of farm equipment.

Learn about the impact that farm animals play in society and how farming has evolved. Here, you can experience milking and dairy processing up close, try your hand at bread making, and participate in seasonal harvest activities.

There is plenty of fun for kids and grownups alike.

When you're ready to spend some time indoors, check out the Machinery Barn. Inside is a two story farm-themed play area that the kids will love,

The Farmpark is open year-round, so you can enjoy the splendor of rural life in all seasons.

The farm is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $6 for ages 2 through 11, $8 for adults, and $7 for ages 60 and up.

Lake County residents are offered free admission to this adorable farm on the first Sunday and third Tuesday of each month!

Proof of residency is required to take advantage of this deal.

Visitors are transported from attraction to attraction via horse or tractor-drawn wagons.

The park is large enough that one could easily spend an entire day here! Bring your camera so that you can document your time in the vineyard, orchard, plant science center, and barnyard.
