So there are a few state parks near New Orleans, and they have all been around for a while. But Bayou Segnette is one of the closest to Orleans Parish--and it recently went through a huge upgrade that makes it one of the most special state parks in the state.

Bayou Segnette State Park is found at 7777 Westbank Expwy in Jefferson Parish.

Known as the floating cabins, these brand-new vacation homes give New Orleanians an amazing place to escape into nature.
