The Natural Swimming Hole In New Mexico That Will Take You Back To The Good Ole Days

Bottomless Lakes State Park in New Mexico offers a beautiful natural swimming spot at Lea Lake, perfect for cooling off during summer.

Do you remember the good old hot summer days where you'd go off swimming wherever you could? Maybe you even grew up in New Mexico and wandered the valleys throughout your childhood. This natural swimming pool is a spectacular spot to take a dip and enjoy the simpler things in life. Summer is here, so let's cool down!

Bottomless Lakes State Park is home to this beautiful natural swimming spot.

This park goes way back to 1933, and was the first state park established in our state.

Though the park is home to nine different beautiful lakes, swimming is only allowed in one of them.

Lea Lake is a natural lake that's become one of New Mexico’s best swimming holes.

The crystal blue water is perfect for cooling off, and taking in some astounding views.

Better yet, no motorized traffic is allowed on this particular lake, so it will stay a relaxing spot all summer long!

This swimming hole is big enough for everyone, at 15 acres.

There's a beach and concession stand to keep you going all day, and being surrounded by limestone bluffs makes the perfect setting.

What better way to cool down than this gorgeous New Mexico swimming hole? See you there!

Bottomless Lakes State Park is located in Chaves County at 545 Bottomless Lakes Rd., Roswell, NM.
