Warm weather is on the horizon, and as soon as the sun starts to shine after a chilly winter the folks in Tennessee are more than ready to get outside. If you're looking for a prime spot to fish in the coming months, then you'll want to check out Marrowbone Lake. It's one of the most beautiful places just outside of the city and makes for an easy spot to get on a boat and leave your troubles onshore.
Marrowbone Lake is maintained by the TWRA, known as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. There are 18 lakes in total, and each of them remain open year-round for both fishing and a myriad of outdoor recreational activities.
Marrowbone Lake itself is a stunning, natural oasis located just a hot second from the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. It's located about 20 miles outside of the heart of the city by way of Clarksville Pike and remains a popular spot for locals.
In order to fish on the lake you will need a permit. They're sold on-site. The park is of a middling size, and you'll be happily surprised to note that there are no crowds.
Marrowbone Lake is the type of lush natural space that's best suited for fisherfolk. You can rent a boat while you're visiting and there's even the chance to snag some bait and tackle on-site.
The lake has picnic areas, fishing piers and even launching ramps for patrons to use. All piers are wheelchair accessible on Marrowbone Lake as well.
Marrowbone Lake is a dream, friends. Fishing is permitted every day of the week from thirty minutes before sunrise to thirty minutes before sunset. Come with your rods and reels, come with your poles. There's no better fishing in Nashville!
