This Milwaukee Park Turns Into A Winter Wonderland Every Year
Discover the top hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.
This holiday season there are a lot of attractions to choose from in Milwaukee! Don't forget that though we have over a hundred parks, some of them become absolutely enchanting during Christmastime. This park is an absolute delight to stroll through, day or night, and you simply must experience it for yourself and put the whole family in the holiday spirit!
Welcome to Cathedral Square Park!
Every year, Cathedral Square lights up in participation of downtown Milwaukee's Holiday Lights Festival.
Cathedral Square is older than Milwaukee itself! It was originally known as Courthouse Square in 1836.
The Square held a similar festival in the 90s called Winterfest, which included an ice rink.
During the winter, this park is full of fun events, including an annual holiday parade, a Christmas market, and other activities with popcorn, hot cocoa, and even the Claus family themselves!
Besides the events, there's also a Christmas tree decorating contest put on by local children's groups that fills the park with cheer.
You'll also find Santa's Mailbox!
Children can send real letters to Santa at the North Pole.
Kids even get a letter back if it's sent before December 10th!
Overall, there is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than to take a stroll through Cathedral Square at Christmastime.
Cathedral Square Park is located at 520 E. Wells Street in Milwaukee.
