When the weather gets warmer and you can't think of anything else to do, don't worry because there's always one of the many beautiful beaches in Michigan you can visit. Folks outside of the Great Lakes State will never quite get that we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and that's okay since that means more room on the velvety white sands for us! If you're stuck on what to do on the long dog days of summer, take heart that here on the Third Coast, we have picturesque beaches on lock.

1. Silver Lake Dunes

This is one of the most unique Michigan beaches comprised of a mix of forest land and sprawling dunes. Rent a UTV and drive around 600 acres of sand.

2. Twelvemile Beach

This Lake Superior beach by a bluff is the perfect place for camping during summer in Michigan.

3. Bete Gris Beach

It's said that the sand on this beach on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula sings. During summertime, could there possibly be better music to your ears?

4. Charles Mears State Park

This beach is located on Lake Michigan and borders a channel that leads to Pentwater Lake.

5. Great Sand Bay

Located in Michigan's northernmost community, this spot is great for birdwatching and photography.

6. Empire Beach

A gateway to Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore, this beach is known for its breathtaking bluffs.

7. Grand Haven State Park Beach

8. Grand Marais Harbor

This picturesque site serves as the eastern gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

This state park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, complete with hiking trails, fishing, camping, and biking.

11. Near Rogers City

This city sits right on Lake Huron, so there's bound to be plenty to see beach-wise.

12. Orchard Beach State Park, Manistee

Hiking trails, a camp ground, and a majestic bluff overlooking Lake Michigan make this beach special.

13. Oval Beach, Saugatuck

This beach offers seclusion and sandy dunes which is perfect for a mini escape.

14. Pere Marquette Beach

You'll never run out of things to do at this Lake Michigan beach, which offers a playground, volleyball courts, a restaurant, and access to both the Muskegon lighthouses and the Muskegon Channel. For your four-legged friends, there's also a dog beach nearby.

15. Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore

As one of the most beautiful beaches in Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dune has been named the most beautiful place in America. It should be added to everyone's beach bucket list.

16. Stearns Park Beach, Ludington

This sparkly sandy beach is within walking distance to downtown and offers sand volleyball courts, a playground, the North Breakwater Light, a picnic area with BBQ grills, and concession stands. For a small fee, you can play miniature golf and shuffleboard, too.

17. Tiscornia Beach, St. Joseph

This is a great beach for swimming, sunbathing, and sand dunes, but be sure to wear your sandals because the sand does tend to get hot.

18. Miners Castle, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

The turquoise blue waters here are perhaps the most picturesque in all of Michigan.

19. Warren Dunes State Park

We dare you to try and run up these monstrous 260-foot sand dunes at Warren Dunes State Park.
