We don't know about you, but one of our favorite things to do in the fall is to view the foliage. From scenic drives to hikes to overlooks in Massachusetts, there are numerous ways to take in the colors at the season's peak. Let's take a look at some of the best overlooks in the state to view the fall colors.

1. Mount Greylock

Mount Greylock happens to be the highest point of elevation in the state. Located within the Mount Greylock State Reservation, there are plenty of ways to take in the fall foliage. However, the best spot is at the summit. Hike to the top or take a drive - the choice is yours.

2. Sugarloaf Mountain

Head to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain where you'll find an observation tower. Take in the jaw-dropping panoramic views of the fall colors from here.

3. Blue Hills Reservation

Some of the best fall foliage views in Massachusetts can be found at Blue Hills State Reservation. Take the Skyline Trail or even the Great Blue Hill trail for epic scenery.

4. Bridge of Flowers

The Bridge of Flowers is a former trolley bridge in Shelburne Falls found along the Mohawk Trail. Adorned with flowers and other decor throughout the year, it's also a fantastic place to view fall foliage in Massachusetts.

5. Weir Hill Reservation

Fall vistas can be discovered along Weir Hill Reservation Trail. You'll have gorgeous views of the Merrimack Valley as well as the fall leaves.

6. Wachusett Mountain State Reservation

Take a hike to the summit at Wachusett Mountain State Reservation for stunning fall colors. If you can't make the hike, you can drive your car to the peak between May and the end of October.

7. Golden Eagle Restaurant

Located at the hairpin turn along the scenic Mohawk Trail, the Golden Eagle Restaurant offers an incredible vantage point to take in the fall hues. Stop here for a bite to eat at this two-story restaurant and you'll be treated to sweeping foliage views.
