The tiny town of Clarksburg is located in Berkshire County near Pittsfield, Massachusetts. It only has a population of 1,650 residents and so much natural beauty to explore.

Clarksburg State Park is a beautiful preserve of 368 acres that offers mountain views. You'll be able to see the Hoosac Range and Mount Greylock from here. You can view the Green Mountains of Vermont from here as well.

Take a hike along the 9.5 miles of trails through northern hardwood forest. Keep your eyes peeled for birds and other wildlife on your hike.

You'll want to take a trail that leads to the serene Mauserts Pond (also known as Clarksburg Reservoir). This 49-acre man-made pond is a great place to go swimming and fishing.

If you want to maximize your time here, consider reserving a campsite. There are 45 campsites by the pond and the campground includes restrooms and showers.

Clarksburg State Park is such a wonderful park to relax, unwind, and connect with nature. You'll feel at peace by the time you're ready to leave.
