Welcome to Cascade Falls, undoubtedly one of the most sought-after waterfalls in Patapsco Valley State Park.

Today, we're embarking on a 7.2-mile loop that will not only take us to the waterfall but also to several gorgeous views along the way.

Please note that there is a small entrance fee to get into the park. You'll also want to arrive early as the parking lot can fill up quickly!

This loop is well-marked and well-maintained, although hikers recommend downloading the AllTrails map to be sure you're following the right combination of trails that make the loop.

Dogs are also welcome so long as they are kept on a leash.

Keep your eyes peeled for fascinating historic sites along the way. During the warmer months, you'll also see an abundance of wildflowers.

Before long, you'll get to enjoy the beautiful creek meandering through the area and eventually leading to the waterfall itself.

There's something truly magical about this water feature. The sound of water gently flowing over a bed of rocks never gets old!

So the next time you're looking for a longer trail and an immersive experience in the woods, you'll know exactly where to go!
