Gilliam is a tiny little village tucked away in the northwest corner of the state.

Home to about 200 people, many people have never heard of Gilliam...but that's about to change.

Gilliam's Main Street, also known as Highway 3049 is where you'll find the endless sunflower fields, as well as Sentell Road.

This is one scenic drive you'll want to make sure you've got the windows down and a clean windshield.

The trail is about 20 miles through these country roads, and can take as long as you'd like!

During the bloom season, your scenic drive will be met with an endless view of sunflowers as far as the eye can see.

June is the perfect time to take this trail, and that's when you'll start to see all of these beautiful sunflowers opening up.

The town celebrates with the Sunflower Festival, where you'll find local vendors coming out to sell all sorts of awesome sunflower-inspired treasures.

The 2023 date has not been announced yet, but it typically takes place the second or third weekend in June. Follow the Facebook Page to stay up to date.

From mid-June to early July, these sunflower fields are just breathtaking.

You don't have to wait for the festival to drive down the trail, but it is part of the fun! Supporting local businesses, picking up some delicious jams and jellies, and learning about the process from the farmers are all part of the experience!

As long as the sunflowers are in bloom, the fields are open to the public.

Feel free to hop out of the car, have a cheery photo shoot, and even cut some to take home! Please remember to be respectful while you are on others' property. Treat it as if it were your own home! These farmers do such a wonderful job at caring for these fields year-round, and we are blessed to be able to enjoy them for FREE! Pets are welcome to join in on the fun, but they do need to be kept on a leash.
