Located in Goddard, Tanganyika Wildlife Park is a unique and interactive experience that officially opened in 2008 and is backed by the Zoological Association of America.

Over the past decade, the Tanganyika Wildlife Park has not only become one of the most unique things to do in Kansas, but it is also home to one of the largest animal collections in the state.

Before the park itself was opened, Tanganyika Wildlife Company was a zoo supply association that worked to breed, care for, and transport exotic species all over the world.

It wasn't until the 1990s when government regulations changed and the company switched its focus. It became the non-profit Tanganyika Wildlife Foundation.

Today, the park boasts one of the most hands-on animal exhibits in the region. You can feed a variety of animals including giraffes, Indian rhinos, bunnies, African tortoises, ring-tail lemurs, and more. Feeding opportunities are included with all-day and unlimited passes.

The Tanganyika Wildlife Park is home to more than 400 animals. These animals include birds, mammals, reptiles, and others.

Animal meet-and-greet opportunities are popular attractions that allow you to get close to many animal species. Some of the animals you can meet include an owl monkey, otter, and lemur.

As you visit Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Kansas, make sure you stop to see one of the world's largest collections of clouded leopards. This wildlife park is also the only breeding facility in the United States that breeds this type of leopard.
