Waterfalls are one of the top attractions during springtime for the state of Georgia, and a quick google of "waterfalls near me" will come up with a multitude of results. We have so many different types of waterfalls throughout the state, it is hard to visit them all. But truthfully, most people tend to stick to those waterfalls that top the list for "best of" and seem to forget about the little guys. There is one particular waterfall in Georgia that seems to be one of the least popular, or at least one of the lesser known in the state, and we just cannot fathom why. See for yourself...
Pocket Falls is one of the least known waterfalls in the state of Georgia, but totally worth trekking to, to experience.
Walk along the Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail, at Pigeon Mountain and you'll get lost in the beauty of Georgia nature.
But it isn't just the hiking and wildflowers that are worth exploring...
Once you reach the stunning falls, you'll understand why everyone would want to keep this waterfall hidden.
What is most stunning about these falls are the rock outcroppings that surround the area.
Seeing the waterfall after a rainstorm is nothing short of spectacular.
Especially when the greenery surrounding Pocket Falls is so vibrant and lush.
Springtime is the perfect time to hike to Pocket Falls, but the trail is gorgeous most of the year, so you'' definitely want to add this trail to your hiking list immediately!
