Nothing says summertime like a long hike through the best parts of Georgia wilderness. But the icing on the cake is when the hike ends up at one of the most magical waterfalls in the state. This particular trail has just that. The only caveat though, which we can't seem to understand, is how this is one of the lesser-hiked trails in Georgia. With a beautiful expanse of remote wilderness, plus an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife, and a killer waterfall to boot, take a look at this delightful waterfall trail.
Jack's River Falls is one of those stunning waterfalls in Georgia that not too many people know about.
Hidden in the beautiful, lush landscape of the Cohutta Wilderness, it's easy to see why this remote waterfall isn't frequented as often.
The hike alone is about nine miles roundtrip, which also seems to turn many people off.
But once you're knee-deep in the Beech Bottom Trail, enjoying the rushing water of Jacks River, plus all the wildlife around you, the handful of miles it takes to get to the falls will seem like nothing.
Here's the interesting part about his trail though--it starts in Tennessee.
The Beech Bottom Trailhead starts just north of Tennessee and then crosses into Georgia at almost a quarter mile.
At about the halfway point, you'll cross over to Jacks River Trail, and end up at one of the most surreal and underrated waterfalls in the state.
Easily a place where people want to come to take a dip in the water and cool off after a strenuous hike.
Bring the whole family, pack a backpack and don't forget your bathing suits.
This is one Georgia waterfall you do not want to miss.
