Aren’t you excited to live in a state where you can actually hike to waterfalls? We’re not just talking about small falls either—we are talking about giant, towering waterfalls where you can wade in and keep cool along the trail. Georgia has so many beautiful waterfall hikes to check out when you have the time, but if you’re searching in particular for a hike that will bring you to the shallow shoreline of a waterfall finish, we have just the one for you. Check out the Vickery Creek Trail in Georgia.
The Vickery Creek Trail in Georgia is a 3.4-mile loop near Roswell that offers hikers a stunning waterfall highlight.
This particular waterfall waypoint is a great place for hikers to dip their toes in the creek, sit on the rock ledges, and have a picnic.
Many have dubbed this hike to be one of the best trails outside of Atlanta within the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
You will be surrounded by the vibrant greenery of the forested terrain, along the creek with river tributaries throughout.
This trail tends to be a bit more populated versus others in the area, primarily because of the wooden bridge, the man-made falls, and the surrounding nature.
The river after the man-made falls is quite fast, but there are plenty of pockets of water where the riverbed is shallow and you can wade in comfortably.
If you want to wade through the area near the waterfall itself, make sure to bring river shoes as there are plenty of rocks throughout.
Enjoy creek views, wading in the waterfall, and a moderate hike through Roswell along the Vickery Creek Trail in Georgia.
