As the temperatures drop and we go from swimsuits to sweatshirts, the vibrant colors of fall slowly start to take over our Cincinnati landscape. The timing of this transition is a little different each year, due to a number of factors. But thanks to the experts at Smoky Mountains, we now have a better idea of when we'll want to be sure and get outside and enjoy the peak fall foliage in Cincinnati. They've developed an interactive tool that helps to determine the best times to view leaves changing color in Cincinnati, and we've summarized it for you below. This handy Fall Foliage Prediction Map is a helpful tool when making outdoor plans this fall.
The interactive aspect of the map allows you to go week by week and see how the leaves will look in the Greater Cincinnati area.
According to the map, Cincinnati should be approaching peak color in mid-to-late October, hitting peak fall foliage by the last week of the month.
At the beginning of October, the city will begin its fall foliage transformation. Eden Park is always a lovely place to visit during this time!
Of course, this is an estimate, but it should be fairly accurate. However, given the cooler weather leading up to this year's fall season, that sounds about right.
Cincinnati comes to life in the fall with cooler temperatures and peaceful, colorful landscapes.
Places like Spring Grove Cemetery (pictured above) will be lovely to walk through, as well as any of our parks and the plethora of fall events and activities.
