1. Cedar Creek Falls Trail

Located just a mile southeast of Ramona is the breathtaking Cedar Creek Falls Trail. This challenging 5.6-mile, out-and-back trail leads you to an amazing rocky waterfall.

While the waterfall is the showstopper, the trail leading there is quite scenic itself, so be sure to soak in the journey as well. Do note that an adventure pass and permit are required to hike all the way to the falls.

2. Potato Chip Rock via Mt. Woodson Trail

If you head southeast out of Ramona, you will find the unique Potato Chip Rock just about 23 minutes away. Starting out the Mt. Woodson Trailhead, this moderately challenging, 7.3 mile out-and-back trail will bring you to this one-of-a-kind rock.

The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. There is not much coverage, so bring plenty of sunscreen and water.

3. Clevenger Canyon South West Trail

Only 6.5 miles north of Ramona is the the scenic Clevenger Canyon Trail. This four-mile trail offers amazing views to hikers. Just keep your eyes out for snakes - many visitors have commented on seeing them on the trail. Also note that an adventure pass is required.
