One thing I love about Arkansas is that we are always discovering hidden gems in the Ozarks. And those unknown treasures are usually tucked away off the beaten path in a secluded area. It is there that we can escape from it all and fully immerse ourselves in nature. That’s especially true for Bingham Hollow Falls in Ozark Arkansas. This short and sweet hike has one of the best rewards that you can imagine. Let’s explore this little-known waterfall in Arkansas that you’ll have all to yourself.
At less than half a mile, Bingham Hollow Falls Trail in Ozark Arkansas will be an easy hike for the entire family.
Perhaps the most difficult part will be driving on the unpaved and sometimes muddy road to get to the trailhead located on Low Bridge Road near the Mulberry River.
However, you’ll have no issues finding the trailhead using
" target="_blank">Google Maps directions.
Because the trail is so secluded, there will be only a few spots to park. But have no worries, you may get there and have the entire trail to yourself.
Expect to hike the out-and-back trail for only 10 minutes until you reach Bingham Hollow Falls. The trail meanders along a creek and is easy to follow, so it’s great for kids as well as for the fur babies.
Prior to getting to the fall, you will cross the creek bed, so be prepared to possibly get wet. Also, some areas might be slippery so be careful while you trek.
One of the best things about Bingham Hollow Falls is that you can view this hidden gem from different perspectives. The upper part of the fall features a series of tiered cascading rocks...
…while the bottom of the fall will be the best reward that you can imagine. You’ll marvel at the waterfall, the cave grotto as well as the emerald plunge pool.
Not only is this 51-foot waterfall a sight to behold, but you can also walk behind it to explore the cave. By far, this is one of my favorite types of waterfalls.
The opening of the cave is a great place to sit in solitude and escape from the uneasiness of everyday life. Pack a lunch and spend some time admiring this incredible little-known waterfall in Arkansas.
Between the flowing creek, the huge cave as well as the secluded waterfall, chances are, Bingham Hollow Falls will be your new spot when you want to escape from it all.
