From the trailhead, you'll immediately descend into a grove of ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, Gambel oak, and juniper trees.

It's a rather leisurely hike, a mere few steep areas interspersed throughout the mild, up-and-down gradients.

Water from Kelsey, Babes Hole, Dorsey, and Winter Cabin Springs flow peacefully year-round.
