Summer isn’t over just yet! You still have a few more weeks to enjoy some of the summer perks of local parks, including waterparks. Here are a few suggestions of places to visit while the weather is still hot outside.
1. Aquatic Center, Lake Havasu City
Located inside the C.V. Wood Community Center, this is a great place to enjoy swimming and getting away from the sun. In addition to the public swim hours, they also host activities like water yoga and even dine-in movies.
2. Big Surf Waterpark, Tempe
Last day this year to visit is September 13th, so you have five more weekends to get your kicks here. If you want something a little different in between swimming and splashing, you can also ride the 300 foot zip line above the park.
3. Breakers Water Park, Marana
This popular location is most well-known for its wave pool but it also has plenty of slides and even areas for the smaller kids to splash around in.
4. The Cove "Indoor Aquatic Center," Sierra Vista
Located next to the Veterans Memorial Park, this is a nice indoor location to keep the kids from burning up under the sun.
5. Golfland Sunsplash, Mesa
An east valley classic for decades, this waterpark boasts 30 different rides and attractions. This includes an arcade, miniature golf, laser tag, and a small racetrack for those who don’t want to get wet.
6. Oasis Water Park, Phoenix
If you happen to be participating in a staycation with the kids this summer, you may want to check out the Arizona Grand Resort and its on-site waterpark. The seven-acre park is open from March to September to guests so check it out before the season ends!
7. Wet’n’Wild, Phoenix
Located in Glendale, this waterpark is known for its collection of crazy water slides, including several that allow you to ride in multi-person tubes.
