We all know that Arizona is beautiful--in fact, THE most beautiful state. We enjoy a wide variety of climates, landscapes, wildlife and people. We each have different perspectives of what defines Arizona—whether it is red rocks contrasting with blue skies, a romantic rural lifestyle, or sweeping city views from mountain tops—so here's a look at 18 images of what makes this place our home.

1. Whenever I leave the state, one of the things I miss most are the wide, open skies and the incredible amount of space all around. There are not many places you can find that.

2. I also think of the incredible rugged terrain...

4. Arizona is a land of extremes. Extreme depths like the Grand Canyon...

5. ...and extreme heights like the San Francisco Peaks.

6. Our hot days get pretty intense...
