Looking to get into the mood for autumn? The cooler temperatures and changing leaf colors make that an easy experience, but do you know what else helps? Pumpkins! Visiting a pumpkin patch is a classic way to get yourself ready for all the fun fall has to offer and Arizona has a good number of places that offer just that. Since admission prices can get pricey fast before you even take a look at a pumpkin, we're going to focus on places where admission is $12 or less. (Some are even free!)
1. Apple Annie’s Pick Your Own Pumpkins (Willcox)
This farm grows a variety of pumpkins on a vast 40 acres, so you’re sure to find the perfect pumpkin for carving, baking, or whatever else you need. Their pumpkins have just come into season, so check them out now for farm fresh pumpkins. The price for a pumpkin varies based on variety and size.
Location: 6405 West Williams Road, Willcox.
Hours: 7am to 5pm until September 30, then 9am to 5:30pm for all of October. Admission: No entry fee.
2. Buckelew Farm Pumpkin Festival and Corn Maze (Tucson)
This fun festival in Tucson helps bring in the fall season with wagon rides, corn mazes, pumpkin painting, and more! Pumpkins cost $0.50 per pound.
Location: 17000 West Ajo Way, Tucson.
Hours: Runs Saturdays and Sundays from October 8 to 30 from 10am to 5pm.
Admission: $10 per person. $8 for seniors. Children in diapers are free.
3. MacDonald’s Ranch Pumpkin Patch (Scottsdale)
This ranch celebrates fall with a month-long pumpkin festival! Admission will give you access to the pumpkin patch, plus plenty of fun activities, like a petting zoo, gold panning, hay ride, and lots of games. Pumpkins are priced $4 and up, depending on the size.
Location: 26540 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale. Hours: The patch is open from October 1 to 31 from 9am to 6pm. It is closed on Tuesdays and will close at 1pm on Halloween. Admission: $10 for children and adults on weekdays, $12 on weekends.
4. Marana Pumpkin Patch and Farm Festival (Marana)
Looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve into a scary or funny face? You’ll have good luck finding one at this pumpkin patch in Marana! Admission includes a wagon ride to the patch, a corn maze, petting zoo, watching pig races, and plenty of other fun activities. Pumpkins are $0.50 per pound.
Location: 14901 North Wentz Road, Marana.
Hours: The patch is open from October 1 to 30. Mondays through Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm, weekends from 9am to 7pm.
Admission: $10 per person October 1, 2, and weekdays. $12 per person on weekends.
5. Mother Nature’s Farm Halloween Pumpkin Patch (Gilbert)
Named one of Arizona’s best pumpkin patches by the Phoenix New Times, this is the perfect place to find pumpkins of all sizes for the kids to decorate. Admission grants kids entrance to the patch as well as a hayride, petting zoo, and a cool maze.
Location: 1663 East Baseline Road, Gilbert.
Hours: 9am to 9pm daily for the month of October.
Admission: $3 for adults, $10 for children over the age of 1. Children’s admission includes a pumpkin.
6. Rocker 7 Farm Patch (Buckeye)
This Phoenix-area pumpkin patch keeps things simple with a patch, a corn maze, and fun activities. Pumpkins are sold separately.
Location: 19601 South Broadway Road, Buckeye.
Hours: Open weekends from October 7 to October 30. Friday and Saturday from 9am to 6pm, Sundays from 11am to 6pm.
Admission: $10 per person (children in diapers are free).
7. Tolmachoff Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Days (Glendale)
This Glendale farm celebrates the season with a large pumpkin patch, a couple of corn mazes, a petting zoo, and play areas for the kids. Pumpkin prices vary.
Location: 5726 North 75th Avenue, Glendale.
Hours: Open October 1 through November 6. Hours vary so visit the website for details.
Admission: $10 per person ages 2 and up.
8. Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival (Mesa)
This farm hosts a super fun fall festival that includes a place to pick and buy your pumpkin, plus a spot to play pumpkin bowling. Other activities include a corn maze, train ride, variety shows, and even a zip line. Pumpkin prices vary depending on variety and size.
Location: 4011 South Power Road, Mesa.
Hours: Open daily from October 1 to November 6.
Admission: $9 per person, free for children ages 2 and younger.
9. Viola’s Flower Garden Pumpkin Patch (Flagstaff)
Unfortunately, you won’t find many northern Arizona pumpkin patches but this is one place you need to check out. The flower garden recently moved to the old Jackson’s Grill site and they are scurrying to get things in order before their opening date on October 1.
Location: 7085 South State Route 89A, Flagstaff.
Hours: Opens October 1. Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm, Sundays from 10am to 5pm.

10. Willis Farm Pumpkin Patch (Snowflake)
The farm opened for the season over the weekend so you can begin visiting now to pick up a beautiful pumpkin. They keep things traditional here and accessing the pumpkin patch does not require special admission (unless you attend during one of their special events). Pumpkins are $0.35 per pound, plus they also have gourds and corn for sale.
Location: 381 South 1st, Snowflake.
Hours: Monday through Thursday from 3pm to dark, Friday and Saturday from 10am to dark.
Admission: No entry fee.
11. Yuma Family Pumpkin Patch (Yuma)
This fun, family-center event is now in its tenth year in Yuma. They sell pumpkins of all sizes (price depends on size and variety), plus there’s plenty of activities, shows, and other fun things to do.
Location: 3625 South Avenue 5E, Yuma.
Hours: Open October 14 to 30. Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm, Sundays from 5pm to 8pm. Open on Halloween from 6:30pm to 9pm.
Admission: $5 plus a canned food donation. Children under 3 are free. Admission is a $1 suggested donation on Halloween.
