Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve is located in Huntsville and is part of the Land Trust of North Alabama.
Covering nearly 500 acres, this secluded nature preserve is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a little adventure.
Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve offers 3+ miles of scenic trails, with a total of 10 miles planned. Each of these trails are well marked and easy to follow. Hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and leashed dogs are allowed to explore them.
While exploring these scenic trails, you'll encounter a variety of whimsical items, including gnome statues,...
...a life-size Bigfoot, and an assortment of...
...antique debris, including the abandoned car that's pictured below.
And finally, in addition to the trails mentioned above, Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve also offers visitors an 18-hole disc golf course. There's no fee to use this course, and it's such a fun activity for all ages.
