The Peavine Falls Trail is located within Oak Mountain State Park, which happens to be Alabama's largest state park.

Also known as the "Green Trail," the Peavine Falls Trail has a moderate difficulty rating and begins near the park's office. With a distance of 1.9 miles, it's Oak Mountain State Park's shortest trail.

The Peavine Falls Trail doesn't lead directly to Peavine Falls. Instead, hikers will need to get on the White or Blue Trail when they reach the Peavine Falls parking lot.

Peavine Falls is a beautiful 65-foot-tall, spring-fed waterfall. It's also Oak Mountain State Park's most-visited attraction.

The best time to hike the Peavine Falls Trail is after a heavy rainfall. Otherwise, the waterfall will only be a trickle of water.
