Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park is located in McCalla, Alabama. It's an absolute must-visit for history lovers of all ages.

The most unique feature of this park is its furnaces, which are among the nation's best-preserved Civil War landmarks.

With more than 1,500 acres, Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park is spread over three counties.

The Alabama Iron and Steel Museum is one of the park's most popular attractions. It features a variety of exhibits that show how iron was produced during the Civil War.

Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park also offers a variety of recreational activities for people of all ages, including hiking, fishing, camping, etc.

While making your way through the park, you'll stumble upon several unique buildings, including the Old Kimbrell Methodist Church, which was built in 1905, and...

...the John Wesley Hall Grist Mill, which is a replica of the original one built in 1867. The original grist mill burned down during the Civil War.
