If you ask 50 different Montanans for their favorite steakhouse, you're likely to get 50 different answers. We love a good steak here in the Treasure State, and thankfully, there's no shortage of spots to get one.
Sir Scott's Oasis, Lolo Creek Steakhouse, and the Land of Magic are just a few of the many spots in Montana to get an absolutely mouthwatering steak. But some locals believe that a hearty steak from Beef N Bone tops them all. What do you think?
Beef N Bone Steakhouse is located in Ulm, a tiny town that's about 12 miles from Great Falls.
Ulm was originally a large ranch owned by Indiana-born cattleman William Ulm, so the location is pretty much perfect for a steakhouse.
The interior is humble, cozy, and casual, perfect for a laid-back weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Reservations are accepted by phone, and they're highly encouraged, especially if you have a large party.
This steakhouse is owned and operated by a true Montanan.
Chef Michael was born in Bozeman and has spent nearly three decades working in the restaurant industry. He runs the kitchen along with his wife, Catherine, and son, Eric.
The meat on the menu is all Montana raised, bred, and fed.
Chef Michael believes in supporting local purveyors whenever possible. Luckily, Montana beef always delivers.
The ribeye and porterhouse are especially popular, but for a real treat, try the prime rib.
It's only served on Friday and Saturday evenings, and they almost always run out before the end of the evening. Make your dinner reservation early and come hungry, because the prime rib here is perfect.
It isn't easy to save room for dessert here.
However, as you can see, it's worth it.
Beef N Bone Steakhouse opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesday - Saturday for dinner service.
If you have yet to enjoy a steak dinner here, come see why so many people claim it's the best they've ever had.
