Life in Montana is pretty fantastic. And there’s really no better reminder of that than standing at the top of one of our majestic overlooks, taking in all the scenery. Located in the middle of Montana's Madison Mountain Range, the peak is easy to spot when driving to Big Sky Resort from US-191.

The summer season kicks off in June, and that's when the mountain bikers, hikers, and zip liners visit.

You'll ride the Swift Current scenic chair lift up 1,648 vertical feet to the halfway point, where you'll meet your guide. Then you'll board an expedition vehicle and head further up the mountain.

Big Sky happens to be in an absolutely gorgeous part of Montana, so even if you're a little afraid of heights, it's worth the climb.

Ride the Swiftcurrent Lift, and then follow the Summit Trail all the way to the top.

This is one of Montana's most underrated natural wonders.
