Montana is known for many things, but typically lavender farms aren't among them. But parts of the Treasure State actually have great growing conditions, and that's how we're able to sell such wonderful local lavender products. The next time you find yourself near Lakeside, check out Purple Mountain Lavender.
Since 2004, this beautiful lavender farm has been overlooking Flathead Lake.
Owners Gregg and Deb Davis take pride in their farm, and it shows.
No synthetic chemicals are used to grow the lavender.
You'll find over a dozen types of the healing herb here.
While growing lavender is a year around pursuit, it's usually at its peak between June and August.
However, there's really never a bad time to visit a lavender farm.
Once it has been picked, lavender is dried so it can be used for decorative or soothing purposes.
Imagine how good this smells.
This property is beautiful.
What a perfect backdrop for some engagement or family photos.
Needless to say, you'll find every lavender product you can think of here.
It's a family run farm, so call 406-212-5626 if you'd like to stop by.
The address for Purple Mountain is 417 Blacktail Hts. Rd. Here are some beautiful shots of some other Montana farms.
