It’s that time of year again, Montanans — no one does the 4th of July better than we do, and we’ve got the fireworks displays to prove it. You’ll find fireworks shows in almost every county this year, and while they’re all spectacular, there are a few that promise to be exceptionally amazing in 2018.
If you’re near any of these cities, you may want to head that way on Independence Day.
After a brief hiatus, Missoula's annual fireworks show at the Southgate Mall is returning. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with live music, food trucks, and a beer garden. Fireworks begin at 10:30.
Laurel's 4th of July celebration is legendary. They celebrate all day, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 6 a.m. and ending with an amazing fireworks display at dusk.
Since 1924, the Livingston Roundup has been a beloved local tradition. The rodeo is 3 nights long, with fireworks every night -- but of course, they're extra-special on the 4th.
Will you be in Bozeman on the 4th? Head to the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, where you'll see an impressive fireworks display that kicks off at 10 p.m. Doors open at 7.
The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce hosts a beautiful fireworks show at Whitefish City Beach every Independence Day. This year's display begins around 10:30 p.m. and lasts about 30 minutes.
There are a number of ways you can celebrate the 4th on Great Falls. But if you'd like to see fireworks, you'll want to Elk’s-Riverside Park (River Drive North between 6th and 9th Street) or somewhere nearby for the best views. The display kicks off around 10:30 p.m. from West Bank Park.
The annual Seeley Lake fireworks display, which is locally sponsored and largely donation-based, is legendary. This year, you can catch it from the Green at Lindey's Prime Steak House around 10 p.m. (although you'll want to get there early).
