The Ancient Forest In Montana That’s Right Out Of A Storybook
We don’t mean to brag (actually, we do), but Montana boasts some of the finest natural beauty in the nation. And while many think of our mountains and lakes as icons of the Treasure State, we shouldn’t discount our highly underrated forest land.
The Custer Gallatin National Forest is one of the most ecologically diverse landscapes in the region. And it also happens to be incredibly beautiful to the point where parts of it look surreal.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
This one amazing forest holds all the best parts of nature. We’re lucky to have the Custer Gallatin National Forest here in Montana — especially since we already have Glacier National Park.
