Restaurant founder Johnny Morris's wife traveled to Palmer's hometown to find the perfect barn. Once she found this 150-year-old barn, she had it deconstructed and transported back to the Ozarks. Once in the Ozarks, the barn was built back up, piece-by-piece.

The restaurant has many food-sensitivity-friendly options. Upon request, many of the salads can be made gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian. They even have a gluten-free dessert option daily. No matter your choice, you’ll surely have a special-feeling experience. The tearoom is thoughtfully decorated with a blend of antiques, and your meals are served on vintage dishware.
This is a tearoom, after all, and the tea selections feature both classic and unique blends. You can order a personal pot or a pot to share. With over 30 teas on the menu, you might find yourself taking a culinary journey. With flavors like Buckingham Palace Garden Party, Swiss Chocolate, and Bourbon Street Vanilla, you’re likely to feel transported far from this small town in western Missouri. The tea menu is thoughtfully categorized for easy selection, including Herb & Fruit, Rooibos, Green, Herbal & Wellness, Oolong, Flavored Black and Chai, and Black and English teas. When it comes to bucket-list destinations for me, they don't get any more exciting than Branson. This small-town Missouri getaway is really the best of all possible worlds - it combines the best of a bustling tourist town, a small-town full of charm, and a nature-filled rustic getaway into one package, and it's all centered around what might be the best hotel in Missouri - Chateau on the Lake, a massive resort on the banks of the massive, winding Table Rock. So it's no surprise that in addition to everything else it has going for it, Chateau on the Lake is home to the best restaurant with a view in Missouri. Chateau Grille is a delicious surprise where the view out the windows is just as big a draw as the food.
Table Rock is one of the most stunning views in Missouri, and there is no shortage of hotels on its perimeter - but none quite have the splendor of Chateau on the Lake, a massive resort and conference center offering top-of-the-line accommodations and dining.

At the heart of this reputation for excellence is the Chateau Grille, the resort's premiere fine dining restaurant. While the seasonal menu is highly acclaimed, the restaurant is most famous for its panoramic views of the lake outside.
While the menu does lean towards classic midwestern fare with an emphasis on well-prepared proteins, we were blown away to see how many local and seasonal touches make their way into the menu. It's no surprise many of the diners are regulars.
The desserts are just as worthy of your attention - perfectly rich and indulgent, but with an extra touch of sophistication perfect for a restaurant of this style.
